About this speaker
In her 20’s, at the start of her career, Tasha worked in television, advertising and marketing. Wanting a profession that allowed her to be of service to others she obtained a Doctorate of Psychology specialising in Marriage and Family Therapy; her work in this area was primarily with at-risk children and young people. In 2013 she joined the Cayman Islands Civil Service as a Deputy Permanent Secretary in the then Ministry of Education, Employment and Gender Affairs. A few years later she was selected to lead a team that delivered programmes and projects which cut across the Cayman Islands Government and in this role she worked in policy and operational areas that included: child safeguarding, prisons monitoring, and the country’s COVID 19 response. In 2021 she received a Badge and Certificate of Honour for her service during the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2021 Tasha was deployed to the U.K. to serve as the Cayman Islands Government Representative to the United Kingdom. She resides in London with her husband and two children.
