The talk will focus on why and how national laws, policies and systems on child protection and child safeguarding are needed to uphold and implement children’s human rights. Prof. Rosa Freedman will explore and explain international human rights law, how it binds state actors, and what countries must do to ensure they are in line with their legal obligations.
